Putting a transmission behind a high-power street/strip car, hot rod, or mud truck can be a tricky proposition, because there are a ton of parts that need to play nice together without going snap.
That’s why we really liked these new TH400 Level 4 Transmission packages from FTI Performance.
The FTI folks eliminate a ton of your homework by perfectly matching transmission parts and components that’ll work well for engines making up to 1,000 horsepower. Starting with a race-prepped Level 4 TH400 transmission, FTI Performance tosses in a trans brake, fluid cooler, dipstick, FTI’s proprietary transmission fluid, and a torque converter.
Each kit is SFI 4.1/30.1 approved and you have your choice of torque converter stall speeds:
- FTI-TH400-4K21 – Level 4 TH400 Transmission Kit, 3,400 to 3,800 rpm stall
- FTI-TH400-4K51 – Level 4 TH400 Transmission Kit, 4,000 to 4,400 rpm stall
