Tallmadge, Ohio – International performance auto parts retailer Summit Racing just broke ground on a new Bed & Breakfast space, located inside its Akron-area Retail Super Store.

“Summit Racing has always been a gearhead destination,” explains Cameron Sheft, the maître d’ of the new boutique hotel service. “We’re just making it easier for folks to experience it.”

Nestled between the cylinder head and tire displays, the new living space will feature amenities like folding cots, paper towels, and a sparsely-loaded snack machine. And Summit Racing reports there will be plenty of on-site entertainment options as well.

“We’re putting in a VCR with a bunch of complimentary tapes,” boasts Sheft. “And you can borrow my personal copy of ‘The Summit Racing Movie’ anytime.”

The new Bed & Breakfast also offers a full concierge service that can recommend area attractions, book restaurant reservations, and help guests change the fan belt on their 1968 Nova.

Summit Racing’s Retail Super Store in Tallmadge, Ohio is located near popular tourist destinations like the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Akron Children’s Museum, and a really good Mexican restaurant with a dynamite Taco Tuesday.

Reservations for the upcoming race season are now being accepted.

By now, we hope you’ve realized this whole Bed & Breakfast thing was indeed an April Fool’s Day joke. The real reason for the construction is to accommodate a newly-expanded DX Engineering Showroom.

That said, the Summit Racing folks would still love to see you.

…Just don’t plan on spending the night there.

  1. Do you have the front differential for a 2000 Chevy trailblazer 4×4? If so do you ship to residential or business customers?

  2. Ha ha, that was great. Book my reservation, cause my fan belt is going.

  3. Include free adjustment of our car’s Galloping Rods? Happy 4/1
