Battery cables are big and sturdy, which often means it’s easy to overlook them when troubleshooting vehicle electrical issues.

But you really shouldn’t. In fact, your vehicle’s battery cables are one of the first places you must inspect when chasing down electrical gremlins in your car or truck.

The wire wizards over at Ron Francis Wiring put together this quick video that’ll show you a few things to look (and feel) for when inspecting your car, truck, or SUV’s battery cable.
