A year or so ago, we told you about how Summit Racing mockup engine blocks can save you a ton of time and hassle on your next engine swap project.
Well, the Summit Racing folks have another product that’ll help even more: Summit Racing Mockup Replica Transmissions

Made with the same heavy gauge steel as the mockup blocks and using the identical sturdy tab-lock design, these replica transmissions are significantly lighter than their real counterparts, and a whole lot easier to maneuver around a tight transmission tunnel.
Best of all, you can weld and hammer around these without worrying about nicking or distorting a cast aluminum or iron transmission case.
That makes these mockup replica transmissions perfect for transmission swaps where you have to do a lot of test-fitting under the car—particularly any adjustments that involve swinging a big honkin’ hammer into a firewall or floorboard.

All the bolt holes are precisely placed exactly where they would be on the real thing, so you can bolt them up to the engine (or engine replica block) to simulate the size and length of your entire driveline.
Summit Racing makes these mockup replicas for a range of popular transmission models—manual and automatic—including the ones listed blow.
