Thermo-Tec’s new Rogue Series heat wraps are made using basalt.

And before you ask—no, basalt isn’t a fancy new flavoring for your French fries.

Rather, it’s a super heat-resistant material made from volcanic rock that can withstand temperatures up to 1,800 degrees Fahrenheit.

And that’s exactly what makes the new Rogue Series heat insulating products from Thermo-Tec so darn cool.

In addition to its impressive heat suppression capabilities, basalt is more resistant to abrasion and liquid spills than other wraps. That keeps your wraps looking good and offers an extra barrier of protection for sensitive engine components, like anything related to your vehicle’s electronic system.

Thermo-Tec’s heat barriers control underhood heat distribution, and are particularly effective at preventing exhaust tubing, turbos, and headers from succumbing to and/or creating excessive heat soak.

Thermo-Tec Rogue Series heat protection products come in a few variations:

Turbo Covers for T3 and T4 Housings

The turbo covers help reduce turbo lag by maintaining heat inside the turbo, which keeps the turbine wheel spooled up. The covers feature dual layer construction for durability and heat retention.

Exhaust Wrap

Thermo-Tec Rogue Series exhaust wrap keeps heat inside the exhaust system tubing, which allows exhaust gas to exit the system faster. That helps improve exhaust scavenging and helps lower intake temperatures.

Clamp-On Heat Shields

These heat shields are ideal for exhaust systems that use tubing up to 3.75 inches in overall diameter. The shields come complete with clamps and stainless steel stand-offs.
