Broken bolts happen to novice and seasoned mechanics alike.
The key to removing them without further damage is having the right tools. Summit Racing now offers a series of broken bolt removal tools to make the procedure an easy, three-step process.
Summit Racing Bust-N-Out Broken Bolt Removal Tools are sold in a kit and include specialty carbide burrs made for specific bolt hole sizes, depending on the kit. When used in succession, these carbide burrs smooth and prepare the broken bolt surface, making it easier to drill the bolt on center. This also saves the component and original bolt hole threads.
Designed for use with a high-speed die grinder (sold separately), the kit also includes a solid carbide drill bit to make it simple to drill out the bolt. Summit Racing Bust-N-Out Broken Removal Tools are available for 5/16-inch/M8, 1/2-inch/M14, 7/16-inch/M12, 3/8-inch/M10, and 1/4-inch/M6 bolts.
