We like superchargers. We like LS motors. And we really…REALLY…like supercharged LS motors.

So when we heard tale of a new 3.0L Whipple supercharger perched atop a 6.2L LS crate motor from BluePrint Engines, our ears understandably perked up.

And we’re glad they did, because this new blown BluePrint aluminum block LS crate engine makes a delightful 700 horsepower and 640 ft.-lbs. of torque.

If supercharging isn’t your bag, you can get this motor sans-blower, where it makes 530 naturally aspirated horsepower. (Image/Summit Racing)

There’s even more good news here:

One of the big factors that BluePrint addresses in its street motors, is that it can run on ordinary 91 octane pump gas. Plus, as with many of BluePrint’s crate engines, this aluminum LS block is available in quite a few flavors, supercharged or NA, fully dressed or a long block—heck, you can even get it bored/stroked to 7.0 liters. Yowza.
