From Wolfgang to Wu-Tang, a good music mix makes the hours pass quickly during tough or tedious jobs—which is why we always fill our shop with a playlist of certified bangers.

But instead of grabbing that old boombox we’ve had since high school, we reach for this Summit Racing 20V Bluetooth speaker, because it packs a lot more functions and features…

…And hasn’t had a Hysteria cassette jammed in the deck since 1991.

For starters, it’s battery powered, rugged, and totally portable. As part of the Summit Racing 20V family of power tools, the battery packs are interchangeable and, depending on the battery pack you use, it can crank out over 15 hours of jams—perfect if you’re a fan of Jethro Tull album cuts.

You can also plug it directly into the wall with the included AC adapter.

It’s got a built-in radio and, better still, can connect via Bluetooth to stream music from your laptop or smartphone—speaking of, you can also recharge your smartphone via the USB port too.

There’s an Aux port as well, so you’re able to connect a laptop and watch how-to tutorials from your favorite YouTube Channel or enjoy tech interviews on your go-to podcast series. (Image/Summit Racing)

The speaker packs 100 watts of peak power—plenty of oomph to make sure everyone in your garage enjoys Neal Peart’s drum solo on YYZ. If you’re relying on battery power, you can expect the following runtimes:

  • 7.5Ah battery pack, about 17 hours
  • 6.0Ah battery pack, about 14 hours
  • 4.0Ah battery pack, about 9.5 hours
  • 2.0Ah battery pack, about 4.5hours

If you’ve already got the battery packs, Summit Racing sells the Bluetooth Speaker by itself. But you can also get it bundled with an assortment of different charger/battery pack combos too. (Oh, and the individual 20V lithium battery packs are also available separately as well.)
