Normally we’re excited to write our regular NHRA Wrap Up articles, but penning this particular edition is a bittersweet endeavor, due to the recent passing of the track’s former owner, Bill Bader Sr.

That said, it was still an exciting weekend of racing, packed with ice cream scoops, a rain delay, and some familiar faces in the Winner’s Circle. So let’s get into this week’s NHRA Wrap Up.

A blown engine cost Erica Enders a likely win last week in Bristol, TN, and you can bet that wouldn’t happen again. After making it to the Finals in Norwalk, OH, Enders faced teammate Aaron Stanfield. Taking the lead right out of the gate, Enders blasted to a 6.627-second, 207.88 mph run to take the win over Stanfield’s 6.658 @ 207.15.

Consistency earns championships. So does winning races. That probably makes Mike Salinas pretty optimistic, as he picked up another Wally this weekend AND moved into the top slot in the Top Fuel points standings. Paired against Josh Hart in the Finals, Salinas cut a faster light on his way to a 3.706-second 333.58 mph pass, topping Hart’s 3.783 @ 325.37.
