Who doesn’t love a good father/son story—especially if it includes a 428-powered Pontiac Catalina ripping down a drag strip?

As part of their Powered by Enthusiasts video series, the Summit Racing folks interviewed Paul and Luke Johnston. Paul’s a Supervisor in the Summit Racing Customer Service Department, but more importantly, he’s a bona fide Pontiac guy.

And after watching the video, it looks like his son Luke got bit by the Poncho bug too.

Watch the episode and you’ll see how the two transformed a 1962 Pontiac Catalina coupe into a potent drag strip performer, right down to its fully-built 428 cubic inch Pontiac V8. (And you’ll learn how other Pontiac loving family members helped too!)

Whether you like tire-shredding drag cars, vintage Pontiacs, or a good father/son story, check out the video below.
