Project S71 2021 Chevy Silverado Overland Build, Episode 4: Adding Off-Road Bumpers & Trail Protection

By now, you probably know that the Summit Racing folks are turning a 2021 Chevy Silverado into a serious off-the-grid expedition vehicle. While they’ve addressed its suspension, engine, exhaust, wheels, and tires already, it’s time to turn the attention to some off-road trail armor.

It all begins up front, where they bolt-on a rugged bumper from ADD Off-Road. Same deal out back. Next, the Silverado gets some slick Raptor rock sliders that pull double duty as truck steps to help you get in and out of the truck’s cabin.

You can see all the installs in the video above, and get more details on the parts you see in this video here:

And if you want the full scoop on the parts and products used over the course of this entire build series, cruise on over to the official Project S71 Silverado build page at SummitRacing.com.

In addition to protecting the front of the truck and allowing for more suspension movement, the ADD front bumper gives the Silverado plenty of space to mount some off-road lights. We’ll talk about that in another episode. (Image/Summit Racing)
