Shifter “feel” can be a funny thing. And it’s not hyperbolic to say that a fraction of an inch can mean the difference between a firm, confident shift and over-revving from a missed gear.

While stock setups are usually pretty well sorted, on hot rods, customs, retrofits, and transmission swaps, you may find that the shifter’s new location can be uncomfortable, or worse yet, straight-up blocked by your seats or dash.

To solve this, Lokar makes a handy AxiShift Bolt-On Shift Lever Adapter. Designed for Tremec TKO 500/600/T56 Magnum transmissions, the adapter secures between your shifter handle and the shifting lever on the transmission, giving you up to 15 degrees of tilt orientation (in any direction), plus 360 degrees of all-around movement.

In short, the AxiShift adapter helps you find that “just right” shifter position and can mitigate a ton of custom installation hassle too. Want a closer look at how it works? Check out this video from Lokar:
