Lawbreakers beware! Ford just pulled the wraps off the latest iteration of its F-150 Police Responder. Originally introduced in 2017, this newest F-150 Police Responder is built on the F-150 SuperCrew platform and boasts a host of upgrades to make it an even more capable all-terrain pursuit vehicle.

The enhancements start with a 400-horsepower 3.5L EcoBoost engine and a specially-tweaked 10-speed transmission, which allow the F-150 Police Responder to hit a 120 mph top speed. A new automatic four-wheel drive mode and torque-on-demand transfer case promise improved traction in various on- and off-road conditions as well.

The F-150 Police Responder also has a clever Police Engine Idle feature which lets the Officer remove the key and secure the vehicle while the engine runs to power the lights and sirens.

Time will tell if these trucks achieve the collector status of the legendary SSP Mustangs. (Image/Ford)

Other upgrades include the FX4 Off-Road package, which boasts off-road shocks, skid plates, and an electronically-locking rear axle. Police Departments can also opt for available towing packages that offer up to 11,200-pound towing capacity.
