We should say, we think this is a 1940 De Luxe Ford.

We’re not 100-percent sure, because, hotrodders.

Ford introduced the De Luxe Ford line in 1938, and designed it to slot between the standard base model Fords, and the luxury Lincoln line.

Ford also used the “Deluxe” name both before and after this short-lived De Luxe era. We can’t be sure what’s powering this modern take on a Blue Oval classic, but the original came equipped with a 221 c.i.d. big block that spit out 85 horsepower.

We spotted this beauty outside of the Summit Racing retail store in Tallmadge, OH. If you see anything about it that we’re missing, please let us know.
