We spotted this beautiful 1964 Ford Fairlane 500 this week parked outside of the Summit Racing retail store in Tallmadge, OH.
It appears to be a tribute of sorts to the iconic Ford Thunderbolt, featuring a Thunderbolt-style hood and a Tasca Ford dealer decal on the back.
Bob Tasca Sr., who ran a performance-oriented car dealership in Rhode Island in the 1960s, is credited with developing the prototypes that Ford Motor Co. would eventually produce as the 1964 Ford Thunderbolt and the 1968 Cobra Jet Mustang. Drag strip assassins, both of them.
Fans of Ford and/or motorsports are no stranger to the Tasca name. Bob Tasca III is currently an NHRA Funny Car driver.
We don’t know what’s under the hood of this Fairlane, but we assume it’s something lovely that we want in our car.
