To hotrodders, the Ridler Award is the equivalent to the Lombardi Trophy in football or the Stanley Cup in hockey.
Before the winner is crowned, the competition is reduced to a “Great 8” field of finalists. These eight vehicles represent the creme de la creme of the hot rod universe.
So, when the Atlanta Motororama announced that five of those “Great 8” finalists would be attending the event, it got our attention.
The five vehicles are listed below, and you can learn more about the Ridler Award here.
1934 Ford Pickup – Danielle Lutz, Hamlin, PA
1936 Pontiac Sedan – Robert Anderson, Savannah, GA
1940 Ford Coupe – Reid Hotaling, Mooresville, NC
1956 Lincoln Continental MKII – Chris Ryan, Ninety Six, SC
1967 Chevrolet Camaro – Chris & Greg Allen, Shelbyville, DE
These jaw-dropping show cars will join hundreds of other vehicles at Atlanta Motor Speedway for the 2018 Summit Racing Equipment Atalnta Motorama—including a certain “tenement on wheels” recreational vehicle.
