At the 2017 SEMA show, the suspension gurus at RideTech showed us their new R-Joint rod ends.

The R-Joint combines full range articulation, low friction movement, lateral stability, and quiet operation into a single bearing that is ideal for street and race use.

The R-Joint articulates in three planes with 360 degree axial rotation and 30 degrees of total lateral rotation. It’s got a polished stainless ball and self-lubricating Delrin cage for low friction movement, plus a self-tightening, spring-loaded closure to keep the mechanism tight and rattle free.

It features an investment-cast stainless housing with rolled threads, and its self-cleaning design prevents water, grit, dirt, or debris from damaging the joint.

RideTech threaded R-Joints have a 3/4″-16 shank and a 5/8 inch bore; they are available in left-hand thread and right-hand thread.

If you’re building a custom rod end, you can also get a one-piece, weld-in R-Joint that is 1-3/4 inches wide with a 5/8 inch bore.

We had our camera rolling when we spoke with the RideTech crew at the 2017 SEMA show to get the lowdown on these new R-Joints. Check out the video:
