2015-OAC-AwardThe OnAllCylinders Readers’ Choice Awards are back!

Let the teens have their Teen Choice Awards. The ESPYs? Leave those for the jocks. The OnAllCylinders Readers’ Choice Awards are for gearheads like you. Once again, you have an opportunity to vote for winners in several different categories—categories you may actually care about! We’re talking best engine, best vehicle make, best current high performance car, and more.

Let your voice be heard by writing your choices in the comments section below or by voting on each individual category as it’s shared on the OnAllCylinders and Summit Racing Facebook pages. And yes, there’s a space for write-ins on each ballot, because narrowing the nominees down to four is not an easy task.

And the nominees are…

Categories/Nominees

Best Current High Performance Car

2015-American-Hi-PoIs this the golden age of muscle cars? Some say yes. There is really no disputing there are some great high performance vehicles to choose from. And the muscle? We’ve never seen this much horsepower straight from the factory. Here are our nominees…

Best Performance Car Builder (Company)

Time and time again, we’ve seen these companies (and others) push the limits with factory hot rods. Is 707 horsepower enough from a Hellcat motor? Nope. Is the new Mustang anywhere near potent enough? No way—at least not according to these companies:

Some folks are leaders. Others are followers. These individuals have established themselves as leaders, taking both classic and later model vehicles to new levels both stylistically and performance-wise. They’ve captured some of the industry’s most prestigious design awards. Vote for your favorite or write in a dark horse.

Best Performance Engine Series

Think of this as the OnAllCylinders version of “Best Ensemble Cast.” Most nominees in this category are comprised of multiple big-cube, big-power, game-changing engines. For example, the Chevy big block gave us the 396 and 454. The FE offered us the 427 and 428. Chrysler’s B/RB series included Wedge motors and the 440. The second-generation HEMI, on the other hand, was the one and only 426 Elephant.

Last year, we gave out our Pioneer Award to a legendary person who changed the industry—Carroll Shelby. This year, the Pioneer Award will be given to an iconic engine that changed the way we power our automotive machines.
