Since then, Action Clutch has expanded further into the performance and motorsports world with hand-assembled clutch kits tailored to racing and high-horsepower street builds.
In other words, from grassroots to pro, street to track, there’s a good chance Action Clutch has something for your ride.
Stage Series Clutch Kits

Action Clutch kits and its chromoly and aluminum lightweight flywheels meet or exceed SFI specifications 1.1 through 1.5. Better still, Action Clutch offers its clutch kits in tiered stages, designed for different power levels and driving styles. Each kit is assembled, inspected, and tested in its facility in Los Angeles, California.
- Stage 1 Clutch Kits – These clutches feature an organic or Kevlar mix, and offer a street-friendly feel that makes them a great option for vehicles with mild performance upgrades. (Action Clutch also makes a Stage 1 HD version with a slightly higher clamp load as well.)
- Stage 2 Clutch Kits – With a high copper woven disc, Stage 2 clutches are well suited for street and light track use.
- Stage 3 Clutch Kits – This is where you get into more dedicated racing applications, with increasingly aggressive materials designed to handle high torque. Stage 3 clutches feature a sprung hub on the disc.
- Ironman – These tough clutch kits use a sintered iron material, ideal for drag racing and other extreme environments. They’re offered as both Ironman Sprung Clutch Kits and Ironman Unsprung Clutch Kits.
Multi-Disc Race Clutch Kits
- Twin Disc (available in 7.25 in., 8.5 in. & 10 in.) – Action Clutch says these are perfect for competitive motorsport use, offering fast engagement with reduced rotating mass.
- Triple Disc – Suited to extreme race applications, Action Clutch triple disc kits boast an ultra-high torque capacity.
