Fun Fact: Did you know Mercury Marine played a large part in the production the overhead cam LT5 engine that powered the iconic C4 Corvette ZR-1?
Yup, back in the 1980s, Chevy trusted the engine experts at Mercury Marine to assemble the bespoke motor that powered its world-beating sports car.
So it’s perhaps no surprise to hear that Quicksilver Products offers a line of racing crate engines designed for Circle Track racing.
…And that’s in addition to its already robust mix of marine crate engines for power boats and other watercraft.

Quicksilver Circle Track crate engines are derived from familiar SBC architecture and feature a roller cam with hydraulic lifters. More importantly, they’re built for the rigors of repeated race seasons—whether you’re on the dirt or asphalt track.
In compliance with many popular stock-class racing rules, Quicksilver ships these crate engines with factory seals on the intake, front cover, oil pan, and cylinder heads.

Starting with GM Gen+ remanufactured cast iron blocks, these engines are fitted with a single piece RMS, and a six quart oil pan filled with Quicksilver Performance Racing 25W-40 synthetic blend oil. The cast iron heads are equipped with stainless steel valves, hardened valve seats, and heavy-duty marine valve springs, then sealed up with head gaskets that incorporate stainless steel fire rings. Up front is a six inch, SFI-approved harmonic balancer.
Depending on your class, there are three Quicksilver Circle Track crate engines in particular that you’ll want to take a look at. (Note, these engines are for race/track use only and not intended for street vehicles.)
