The New Hampshire House of Representatives just rejected a bill that would have adopted California’s low- and zero-emission vehicle standards in the Granite State. The bill would have also banned the sale of new gas- and diesel-powered vehicles in New Hampshire beginning in 2035.

Additionally, the proposed legislation would have permitted owners of electric vehicles to have an extended warranty on emissions-related components.

The New Hampshire bill (HB 92) was defeated overwhelmingly by a vote of 40 to 331.
