Sorry to report, but Hot August Nights, one of the world’s biggest classic car and music events, has been cancelled for 2020 due to concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Originally scheduled for August 4-9 in Reno and Sparks, Nevada, the cancellation includes the Hot August Nights Virginia City kickoff event slated for Friday, July 31 and Saturday, August 1. The safety and well-being of our attendees and volunteers was paramount in the decision, said Mike Whan, Executive Director of Hot August Nights.

“We are very disappointed, of course, but we understand and support the decision,” said Jim Greenleaf, Summit Racing Motorsports and Events Manager. “Hot August Nights is one of the biggest events on our schedule, and we look forward to meeting with our friends and customers at next year’s show.”

The Motorsport Auction Group (MAG Auctions) classic car auction scheduled for Friday, August 7 and Saturday, August 8 will be held as planned. Visit www.motorsportauctiongroup.com for more information.
