LAS VEGAS, NV — In 1967, Dodge introduced its legendary Dodge Dart GTS line.
Nearly 50 years later, Mike Staveski and the RMR Dreamcars team have upped the ante — and then some.
Staveski and the RMR Dreamcars crew unveiled their 1968 Dodge GTS, nicknamed Blow Dart, at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas today. Unlike the original ’68 version, which featured a high-output 340-cubic-inch engine, Blow Dart features a blown 493-cubic-inch stroker motor with a SCAT rotating assembly and a Howard’s Camshafts blower cam. The engine is topped with Trick Flow Specialties’ PowerPort 240 top-end kit for big block Chrysler, a Quick Fuel Technology blow-through carburetor, and a Vortech blower.
Hence the name: Blow Dart.
The 493 is attached to a 4L60E transmission and 8.75-inch rear-end with 3.91 gearing. Other features of RMR Dreamcars’ Blow Dart include a Flowmaster exhaust system, QA1 front and rear suspension, March Performance pulleys, SSBC brake system, Vintage Air A/C system, Dakota Digital gauges, and a host of other parts from Summit Racing.
