NHRA officials postponed the Northwest Nationals Sunday and announced the Top Fuel and Funny Car finals will conclude in two weeks at Brainerd, and Pro Stock will finish at the following event at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis.

In Top Fuel, Steve Torrence will face Antron Brown in the finals. In Funny Car, Del Worsham will square off against Ron Capps. Those finals will be raced before the Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals at Brainerd International Raceway in Brainerd, MN.

The Pro Stock final, featuring Vincent Nobile and Aaron Strong, was postponed all the way until the Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis, IN slated for the first week in September. The extra wait is due to Strong’s race team having not planned to participate in Brainerd. The unusual arrangement was agreed to by Nobile’s race team, owned by Nick Mitos.

Sunday’s incomplete race was the 16th of 24 scheduled for the 2016 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series.
