Time is an amazing thing. In the year 2016, most of the crew at OnAllCylinders can look back on the 1990s in much the same way our parents always celebrated the ’70s. And thank God they did, or we wouldn’t be here, amirite?

The ’90s diversified the great driving song offering into several musical genres. We nominated some of them. Maybe you like one of the other thousand excellent choices from the decade which defined our youth.

What makes a song a good driving song? The music? The lyrics? Good memories of driving around while listening to it?

You get to decide.

Your write-in votes are encouraged. Vote for your favorite in the comments, or on the Summit Racing Equipment or OnAllCylinders Facebook page, or Summit Racing’s Instagram.

But the 2016 nominees for the Cammies category of “Best 1990s Driving Song” are:

Life is a Highway — Tom Cochrane

Song 2 — Blur

Sabotage — Beastie Boys

Summertime — DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince

Rusty Cage — Soundgarden
