Brainerd International Raceway, host of next month’s the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series’ Lucas Oil Nationals and a full schedule of other events, sustained major damage in a round of severe storms Monday. In addition to mangling huge sections of spectator stands (see photo above), the storms downed trees, rolled a couple RVs in the campgrounds, and tore roofs off of several buildings on the premises.

The track is now looking for area volunteers to help with cleanup. For more information, you can visit the track website here.
