We’ve heard of this kind of thing before, but until BIGFOOT took off after his 40th birthday on a series of mid-life adventures involving new careers and new adventures and a desperate makeover attempt, we’d never actually seen a full-blown midlife crisis.

He had been all over the country in search of answers to questions like: Who do I want to be? and What do I want to do with the rest of my life?

Then a crazy night with Charlie Sheen, Dennis Rodman, and a Fiat 500 snapped him back to reality, he said. BIGFOOT returned home to Hazelwood, MO, and recommitted to being the world’s greatest monster truck.

He reportedly showed up with tribal tattoos on his tires and sporting a shiny C7 Corvette body. A full-on restoration was in order.

There is a four-part series on Power Nation that thoroughly documents the restoration of the 640 (C.I.D.) blown nitrous-injected Ford V8 engine, which sat idle for 20 years.

You can watch the first here, the second here, the third here, and fourth here. They are excellent and are just under 20 minutes a piece.

Our friends at Summit Racing caught up with the great Bob Chandler at the Atlanta Motorama at Atlanta Motor Speedway, where 12 BIGFOOT trucks gathered in one place, including the first public showing of the restored BIGFOOT #1.

Be sure to check out that video below. Happy 40th, BIGFOOT. Good to have you back.
