A parking lot is a parking lot is a parking lot—unless it’s the Summit Racing parking lot. On any given day or time, the lot outside a Summit Racing store can turn into an impromptu mini car show, depending on who’s stopped by the store. Each Wednesday, we’ll share our parking lot find of the week—another benefit of being Powered by Summit Racing Equipment.

We spotted this 1948 Chevrolet pickup on its way to the Goodguys Show in Columbus, OH.

It, along with the 1940 Ford parked next to it, belongs to Frank and Mike Briglia of Wolcott, CT.

Chevrolet pickups were the most popular trucks in America during the time period of 1947-55, when they were known as the Chevrolet Advanced Design series. However, we can guarantee there was no Chevy truck like this one roaming the farms and dirt roads of America in the 40s. That’s because the Briglia’s outfitted this particular truck with a mid-engine LS6 motor and a Corvette transaxle.

It’s definitely not your grandpa’s old hauler.
