Gene Winfield may be 86 years old, but the legendary car customizer is showing no signs of slowing down.

In fact, he’s once again taking his skills on the road as Gene Winfield’s Chop Shop, presented by Genuine Hotrod Hardware, will be at nine events on this year’s Summit Racing Show Car Series. He helped kick off the new season by cutting, chopping, and welding a 1949 Chevrolet at the 54th annual AutoRama in Houston this past weekend.

Gene Winfield’s Chop Shop, presented by Genuine Hotrod Hardware, duplicates Winfield’s All-American Chop Shop. At each event, Winfield works with a local car club to demonstrate the art of ‘chopping a top’ on a car over the course of the event. This season, the Chop Shop will be at these AutoRama/World of Wheels shows:

  • November 28-December 1: 54th AutoRama in Houston, TX
  • January 10-12: 54th Cavalcade of Customs in Cincinnati, OH
  • February 7-9: 44th World of Wheels in New Orleans, LA
  • February 14-16: 54th World of Wheels in Kansas City, MO
  • February 21-23: 52nd World of Wheels in Milwaukee, WI
  • February 28-March 2: 52nd World of Wheels in Chicago, IL
  • March 7-9: 62nd AutoRama in Detroit, MI
  • March 21-23: 40th World of Wheels in Winnipeg, MB
  • March 28-30: 40th World of Wheels in Boston, MA
