An event as large as the 2025 SEMA Show showcases a zillion new automotive products. Lots of them are big and showy. But to paraphrase Frank the Pug from Men in Black, just because something’s important doesn’t mean it’s not very, very small.

Take Meguiar’s Whole Car Air-Refresher, for example. It’s a little two-ounce fogger that eliminates unpleasant odors from your vehicle’s interior and leaves a nice scent behind. That’s about a million times better than the cheap pine tree air fresheners and fragrance sprays from the gas station that barely mask the funk. This stuff will do wonders for a work truck full of tools and stale coffee or an SUV that totes kids with their, er, odiferous habits.
Meguiar’s introduced several new scents to the Whole Car Air-Refresher line at SEMA. The Luxury Collection features four scents developed in collaboration with fancy-schmancy fragrance houses:
- Dubai Sands smells of sea salt, mandarin (like the orange), and oak moss
- Island Volcano offers hints of citrus, white tea, and driftwood
- Tropical Rainforest blends mango, lotus, and tonka (kinda vanilla-ish) scents
- Stargazer has notes of bergamot (think spicy citrus), coconut, and sandalwood
The other new scent is called Ultimate Scent. According to Meguiar’s, it smells like their Ultimate Wash & Wax car wash with hints of pineapple, cherry, and pomegranate. Sounds pleasant, doesn’t it?
Meguiar’s Whole Car Air Re-Fresher is available in several other scents including Summer Breeze, which is currently available at Summit Racing.
How Whole Car Air Re-Fresher Works
Unlike ordinary odor removers that you spray in the air or directly on surfaces, Whole Car Air Re-Fresher uses your vehicle’s ventilation system to reach the whole interior, including those nooks and crannies where odors tend to accumulate.
It’s easy to use—turn the air conditioner on high, hit the recirculate button, activate the Air Re-Fresher, and close the doors. In about 30 minutes you can open the doors and get a big sniff of fresh scent that will last for weeks. If you want to maintain the smell, just set off another Whole Car Air Re-Fresher. Your nose will thank you.
