Las Vegas, Nevada – Produced from 1996 to 2006 the “New Body Style” Chevy and GMC trucks aren’t so new anymore, but that just means the aftermarket has had ample time to develop performance parts for the venerable GMT800 chassis.

…And that’s precisely what the suspension experts over at QA1 have done.

QA1 had an impressive display at the 2025 SEMA Show that included a partial GMT800 frame outfitted with a comprehensive array of upgraded suspension parts.

And while QA1 says you can buy all this stuff separately, we’re particularly interested in a handful of kits they’ve assembled to significantly enhance the style and cornering characteristics of NBS trucks—all in one fell swoop.

To begin with, QA1 has Lowering Kits that deliver that classic low stance, without sacrificing ride quality. These adjustable kits are a great option for daily-driven trucks that still have a commute grind to deal with. Better still, these lowering kits are pretty easy to install and don’t require a whole bunch of major chassis mods either.

If its cornering your after, QA1 also offers a pair of complete handling kits that offer massive improvements in the canyon-carving department. QA1 Level 1 Handling Kits are well suited for regularly driven NBS Silverados and Sierras, and include upgrades to the GMT800 suspension like adjustable shocks, tubular control arms, and a beefy sway bar to help your truck stay stuck.

QA1 Level 2 Handling Kits turn up the proverbial wick with double adjustable coilover shocks, lightweight tubular control arms, and a set of bigger sway bars. Out back, QA1 supplies a bolt-in torque arm and panhard bar, which will play nice with your NBS truck’s factory fuel tank. Our favorite part? QA1 says you can install this setup without removing the truck bed!
