Early last month, Automotive News reported Dodge would introduce the Dodge Challenger ADR. According to the report, the ADR, or American Drag Racer, would be a wide-body variant of the Challenger Hellcat.

The folks at SpiedBilde captured a prototype of the Challenger Hellcat ADR testing near the SRT facility in Auburn Hills, MI. The wide-body Challenger has exaggerated wheel arches and wider tires to better apply the Hellcat’s 707 horsepower to the ground.

You can expect to see the ADR by next spring, but there are a few details that are still murky. For example, will the Hellcat’s 6.2L V8 get even more power? And what about all-wheel-drive?

We’ll have to wait and see. For now, check out these spy shots and let us know what you think!
