Yes, yes it has. It’s been nearly 15 years since original The Fast and the Furious movie opened in theaters, and Universal is marking the occasion by re-releasing the movie in theaters for one day only. That day is June 22 — the day it originally premiered in 2001.

As much as some might not like to admit it, The Fast and the Furious movie franchise has been a rousing success. The original The Fast and the Furious grossed $207.3 million worldwide and the movie franchise has grossed a collective $3.9 billion, according to Entertainment Weekly.
