We don’t spend a lot of time talking about Bugatti here — at least not normally.

But the new Bugatti Chiron is not normal. Obscene maybe. But not normal.

The new Chiron was introduced as the replacement for Bugatti’s vaunted 1,000-horsepower Veyron and produces a stunning 1,478 horsepower and 1,180 ft.-lbs. of torque. That, folks, makes it the most powerful production street car ever made.

The Chiron runs to a limited top speed of 261 miles-per-hour and goes zero to 124 miles-per-hour in less than 6.5 seconds. It makes the leap from zero to 186 in just 13.5 seconds — three seconds quicker than the Veyron.

The bad news is you’d have to win pretty big in your March Madness brackets to get one. Bugatti will only make 500 of them, and the company is selling them at a cool $2.6 million!
