Special Edition 5th Gen Camaro

LAS VEGAS, NV–It’s been a great run for Chevrolet’s fifth-generation Camaro.

Launched for the 2010 model year, the fifth-gen. has been America’s best-selling performance car for the past four years. Chevrolet started with the V6 and SS models in 2010, then offered the Camaro convertibles a year later. Next came the 580-horse ZL1 followed by the Camaro SS1LE and, most recently, the Camaro Z/28.

The 2015 model year will be the last for this generation of Camaro, so Chevrolet announced today at SEMA that it will offer special edition Camaros to mark the occasion.

Commemorative Edition

Available in coupe and convertible versions, and with a V6 or V8 engine, the Commemorative Edition Camaro (left) features largely cosmetic updates, including red, white, and blue badges, custom striping, 20-inch aluminum wheels, and a ZL1 rear spoiler. Inside, it will sport Adrenaline Red interior and a flat-bottom steering wheel. The Commemorative Edition Camaro will be available in five colors–black, silver, white, gray, and red–and will hit showrooms early next spring. Pricing has not been announced.

DSCN2341Green Flash Special Edition

A while back, Camaro enthusiasts were asked to help name a special edition emerald green Camaro for “National Name Your Car Day.”

The result: the 2015 Green Flash Special Edition Camaro.

Chevrolet introduced the “Green Flash” at today’s press conference at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Available as a 2SS coupe or convertible, the Green Flash edition Camaro includes the RS appearance package, along with the stunning emerald green paint. Touches include Cyber Gray Rally Stripes, body-colored ground effects, 21-inch chrome wheels, and LED taillamps. Inside, you’ll find a Jet Black interior with graphite instrument panel and door inserts. The Green Flash gets its “flash” from a 426-horsepower 6.2L V8 and your choice of six-speed manual or automatic transmission.
