Video: Hennessey Venom GT Hits 270 MPH Mark on NASA Runway!

The battle between the Hennessey Venom GT and Bugatti Veyron continues!

Hennessey fired the latest salvo by making a 270.49 mile-per-hour pass on a Kennedy Space Center runway. The 3.22-mile pass bested the Veyron’s fastest speed by .063 miles-per-hour.

That’s fast enough to impress everyone—everyone except the folks at NASA, that is. NASA officials wouldn’t let the Hennessey make a return pass on the landing strip, so the record isn’t officially recognized. Doh!

Watch the video to witness the Hennessey’s run for yourself and then learn more about Hennessey’s future plans here.
