Race season seems a long way off here in the Midwest, but this weekend is the beginning of another NHRA Mello Yello Racing Series season. While many of us can’t exactly relate to the high-dollar operations of some of the teams gathering at the Winternationals in Southern California, a lot of us do enjoy watching the NHRA pros go at it.

To commemorate the start of another drag racing year, check out this video of the new Guinness world record for largest simultaneous burnout. The record-setting “event” happened this past New Year’s Day in Australia and involved 103 cars. Can you think of a better way to start of the season?

Oh yeah—you can check out the team preview’s of the 2015 Winternationals here. And for those who took part in the massive burnout…you can find new tires here!
