Las Vegas, Nevada – Thanks to its durability and reliability, the classic Stromberg 97 carburetor is a beloved icon of the pre/postwar hot rod, racing, and Ford communities.

Yet at the same time, it suffers many of the common issues that affect virtually every other carb out there, including things like cold-weather starting and overall tunability.

That’s where the EFI experts at FiTech come in.

Its new Go EFI Vintage 97 systems use throttle bodies that are styled after the iconic Stromberg 97 two-barrel carburetor, so you’re able to maintain a period-correct look on, say, your Flathead Ford V8 or Offy-equipped six, while still getting the benefits of modern electronic fuel injection.

Aside from the clever disguise, the biggest draw of the Vintage 97 systems is adaptability.

FiTech plans to offer the Vintage 97 setup in a handful of configurations—so you’re able to run a single 97 throttle body (1×2), dual 97 throttle bodies (2×2), or the classic triplet of 97s atop your engine (2×3).

In fact, FiTech says the controller will handle all the way up to a 2×6 arrangement!

The Vintage 97 kits will come with the appropriate number of throttle bodies, the wiring harness, ECU, and a tuning module to help you get your engine running. Since it’s self tuning, your classic hot rod will be on the road again in no time.

And with the authentic Stromberg 97 look, most folks won’t even realize you’re running a state-of-the-art electronic fuel injection system in your vintage hot rod or classic cruiser.

While the Vintage 97 systems aren’t on the market yet, the FiTech folks say they’re coming soon. In the meantime…
