No matter your interest in the automotive hobby, Holley Ford Fest provided unlimited fun. The recently held event at Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky was a Blue Oval extravaganza that featured virtually everything to entertain enthusiasts and racers.

Known for its quarter-mile drag strip, Beech Bend also incorporates a beautiful show area, swap meet area, an off-road race track and a circle track that was used for drifting, autocross, Grand Champion, and a wild Crown Vic 50 lap feature race. Holley Ford Fest also featured an incredible manufacturer’s midway and some of the best food we’ve found at a race track.

The energy-filled two-day event captured the essence of Ford Performance like no other.

The drag racing scene was simply incredible, with Ultra Ford, Coyote Stock, Factory Stock, 10.10 and 8.60 Index, a Tremec Stick Shift Shootout, Cobra Jet Invitational, True Street and a host of other Index and bracket categories. There literally was a place to race, whether you rolled to BG with a 15-second streetcar, or a 7-second dedicated racer.

We’re a big fan of the specialty classes, like the Godzilla Shootout, Stick Shift Shootout and CJ Shootout, because it really showcases the variety. We saw so many Summit Racing parts in competition that it made us proud to be a part of the Ford community.

The drift contingent was led by Ben Hobson and Vaughn Gittin Jr. who had the RTR team trailing smoke from their furious Ford Mustangs. Fans lined the fence as all the drifters pair up for side-by-side sliding.

Autocross is a big deal at Holley Ford Fest, and we watched dozens and dozens of drivers take on the challenging course. This is especially fun because there is no “common vehicle” on track. The wide range of Ford and Mercury vehicles was a sight to be seen. From classic muscle to the most modern Shelby Mustangs, the field was filled with handling-based performance vehicles. And if you’re looking to go harder, turn with more grip, and stop quicker, SummitRacing.com is your place to shop.

In true festival fashion, Ford Fest provided thrills at every corner of the facility. There was always something going on, whether it was the smoky burnout contest, autocross, drag racing, hunting in the swap meet or seeing the newest parts on the midway. It was a grand time in Bowling Green, and we’re already planning our return in 2026!
