Combine a historic venue with holiday weekend, then mix-in a huge crowd of fans, and there’s just something special when the NHRA rumbles into Indianapolis, Indiana for the annual NHRA U.S. Nationals.

And it gets even special-er when a racer hits a major, major milestone. So let’s not stand on ceremony here and get right into the racing recap in this week’s NHRA Wrap-Up.

2022 NHRA U.S. Nationals Pro Stock Results

When Greg Anderson became the winningest Pro Stock driver in NHRA history last year with his 98th victory, we all knew it was only a matter of time before he hit the century mark.

And Mr. Anderson did just that in Indy this weekend.

Paired up against teammate and last year’s Rookie of the Year Dallas Glenn in the Finals, Glenn left a little too early, resulting in a red light and an Anderson victory at 6.587 @ 208.07.

It was Anderson’s first win of the season and the (gasp!) 100th of his storied career. Congratulations to Greg Anderson and the entire KB Racing team on the incredible milestone!

Hear Anderson’s thoughts on passing Warren Johnson on the all-time wins list and the evolution of Pro Stock in this recent episode of the OnAllCylinders podcast.

2022 NHRA U.S. Nationals Top Fuel Results

But Anderson wasn’t the only one smiling once the (tire) smoke cleared. Less than a month after he secured the first Wally for the newly-formed AB Motorsports, Antron Brown found himself in the Winner’s Circle again in Indy.

Facing the weekend’s Number One qualifier Brittany Force in the Finals, Brown cut the quicker light on his way to a 3.706 second, 321.65 mph pass, besting Force’s 3.714 @ 333.00.

2022 NHRA U.S. Nationals Funny Car Results

With what seems like 2,458 years of combined driving experience between the two, it was no surprise to see Funny Car veterans Robert Hight and Ron Capps square off in the Finals over the weekend as the Number One and Two qualifiers. But after Hight smoked the tires early in the run, it was Capps who emerged victorious with a 3.913 second, 327.98 mph run.
