It was the final leg of the NHRA’s Fall Swing as the racing roared into World Wide Technology Raceway just outside of St. Louis, Missouri this past weekend. It’s the third race in the playoff and we’ve got a lot to cover, particularly in Top Fuel. So without any further ado, here’s this week’s NHRA Wrap-Up.

2021 NHRA Midwest Nationals Pro Stock Results

Paired up against rookie of the year hopeful Dallas Glenn in the final round, Erica Enders grabbed her fourth Wally of the season—and tightened the championship standings with Pro Stock stalwart Greg Anderson at the same time. But it wasn’t easy; Enders grabbed a razor-thin victory with a 6.572-second, 207.24 mph pass to best Glenn’s 6.583/206.86 run.

2021 NHRA Midwest Nationals Top Fuel Results

We knew it was going to be an amazing weekend in Top Fuel after Mike Salinas ripped off a 3.652-second/327.74 mph qualifying run on Friday. Then Brittany Force stepped up to the plate on Saturday, notching the third-fastest speed in NHRA Top Fuel History: 3.641 seconds at 337.66 mph. But by the end of the day Sunday, it was Steve Torrence pushing past Salinas with a 3.736-second, 328.78 mph pass over Salinas’ 3.996 at 226.70.

2021 NHRA Midwest Nationals Funny Car Results

After a bout with illness, Funny Car driver Matt Hagan returned to the driver seat. He takes over for Tommy Johnson Jr., who’s own impressive stand-in performances kept the team near the top of the Funny Car points standings during Hagan’s absence. And after the Midwest Nats, Hagan’s on top, thanks to a 3.933-second, 333.49 mph final round performance to best a hard charging Bob Tasca III’s 3.967/329.99 effort.
