The NHRA returned to its Indianapolis, Indiana roots over Labor Day weekend for the 2021 U.S. Nationals, bringing with it top-tier NHRA action, along with other special events—namely the Dodge HEMI Challenge, the longest running, continuous specialty race in NHRA history. This year Steve Comella took his 1968 Plymouth Barracuda to the Winner’s Circle, just edging out four-time Hemi Challenge champ Jim Daniels Jr. in his 1968 Dodge Dart.
And as you’d imagine, the rest of the racing was fierce all weekend long and included a surprise victory from a veteran racer as the NHRA Regular Season came to a close. Read all about it in this week’s NHRA Wrap-Up.

2021 NHRA U.S. Nationals Pro Stock Results
A familiar face returned to the U.S. Nationals Winner’s Circle—Erica Enders won the event for the second time in a row, nabbing a holeshot victory with a 6.626-second, 203.01 mph run to best Kyle Koretsky’s 6.613/206.35 effort. It was Enders’ third win of the season.

2021 NHRA U.S. Nationals Top Fuel Results
Steve Torrence continued his year of Top Fuel domination at Indy, lifting a Wally for the eight time this season. Paired against Brittany Force in the Final Round, some early tire smoke from Force handed Torrence a win, notching a 3.749-second, 324.44 pass to coast past Force’s 13.165/24.39 run.

2021 NHRA U.S. Nationals Funny Car Results
A big win for Tim Wilkerson in Indy, as he piloted his Funny Car to the Winner’s Circle for the first time in five years. His 3.912-second, 280.14 mph run was enough to dispatch the 3.946-second, 326.63 mph pass from Ron Capps in the finals. This is Wilkerson’s second win at the U.S. Nationals and his first Wally since a victory in Charlotte, North Carolina in 2016.

2021 NHRA U.S. Nationals Pro Stock Motorcycle Results
We haven’t mentioned Eddie Krawiec much lately, but he certainly gets the focus today. The four-time Pro Stock Motorcycle title holder is back to championship form after winning in Indy for the third time in his career. He went up against Angelle Sampey in the Finals, where his 6.844-second, 198.58 mph effort edged him past Sampey’s 6.880/195.51 pass.
