NORWALK, OH — The temperatures were scorching, and the rides were even hotter during the first day of MotorTrend’s 2021 HOT ROD Power Tour, which kicked off Aug. 23 at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk.

Thousands of participants and spectators showed up for day one of the legendary traveling car show, and the event did not disappoint. Attendees displayed and drag raced a wide range of hot rods, rat rods, vintage rides, and everything else on four wheels you could imagine—plus, a few things on two.

The tour is scheduled to run through Aug. 27, hitting additional sites in Dayton, OH; Indianapolis, IN; St. Louis, MO; and Champaign, IL along the way. If you missed the first day of the event, not to worry—the OnAllCylinder team made sure to grab some photos for you.

Check them out below, and be sure to keep an eye on the Summit Racing events calendar to find more events happening in your area.
