Much like its Street Machine of the Year honors, Goodguys’ annual Street Rod of the Year competition attracts some of the best hot rod builders on the planet. Here’s the judging criteria, per Goodguys:

“This award is designed for a true modern masterpiece. Quality of craftsmanship, body and paint, overall engineering, the three F’s (fit, form and functionality) stance and overall creativity in design and concept is what the selection committee will seek.”

And the 2021 edition didn’t disappoint. The judging occurs at the Goodguys Summit Racing Nationals in Columbus, Ohio and the field was filled with top-caliber street rods—all packing some serious performance. Check out the pics of all the finalists below.
