There are plenty of companies that make cold air intakes and air filter elements. S&B Filters is one of them, and they do things a little differently. Instead of using less expensive urethane to make its filter element couplers, end caps, and air intake couplers, S&B uses silicone that is flexible, won’t crack over time, and can withstand temperatures up to 400 degrees F.
S&B invested a half-million dollars in a testing lab to ensure its filters and intakes outflow the competition’s without compromising their ability to trap dirt and dust. That’s not an easy feat.

Cold Air Intakes
S&B specializes in cold air intakes that meet the airflow needs of trucks and SUVs, including diesels. They feature precision-molded housings and tubing and a clear window for easy inspection of the filter element. Some intakes even offer multiple air inlet locations that can pull cold air from the stock inlet location, the wheelwell area, or from under the bumper.
S&B Filters cold air intakes are available with your choice of a reusable eight-layer oiled cotton filter element or a disposable dry filter element. Intakes are available for many late model GM, Ford, and Dodge/Ram gas and diesel trucks plus Jeep, Toyota, and Nissan vehicles.
Replacement Air Filter Elements
Summit Racing carries S&B replacement air filter elements for S&B cold air intakes as well as universal-fit elements for custom air intake setups.
Particle Separator for Polaris RZR XP1000 EPS
RZRs live in the dirt and sand, and need extra filtration to keep the trail out of their engines. S&B applied the technology used to make particle filters to keep sand and dust out of military helicopter engines to make this Particle Separator for the XP1000 EPS. The separator removes 94 percent of incoming dust before it reaches the stock air filter.
Here’s how it works:
• Air enters the separator’s 19 vortexes
• The air spins through the tubes—centrifugal force throws the dust against the outer sides of the tube where it exits through a rear slot
• The air continues forward to an electrical scavenge fan that ejects even more dust and pulls clean air into the stock air filter
The combination of the S&B particle separator and stock filter can handle 2,536 grams of dust versus a mere 74 grams for the stock filter system. The separator helps your stock air filter last up to 15 times longer, saving you money.
The S&B Particle separator comes with billet clamps to mount to the roof or roll cage. Separators for other Polaris, Can-Am, and Arctic Cat UTVs are available by special order.
