Daily-Driver-winner

Remember when your folks’ daily driver seated seven passengers and boasted about you being a “Middle School Honor Student?”

Well, those days are long gone, and the family soccer van has been replaced by a supercharged, 556-horsepower V8-powered sports sedan—the Cadillac CTS-V. Or at least it should be according to those who voted in our Fantasy Garage draft.

The Cadillac CTS-V was the top vote-getter for the daily driver spot in our Fantasy Garage, edging out the Charger SRT, Ford Raptor, and Subaru BRZ. Can you imagine how much cooler Carol Brady would’ve been if she brought home the groceries in a Cadillac CTS-V? Or how much cooler you would’ve been if dad picked you up from school in a four-door sedan like the new Charger SRT?

Yep, we like the way you think.

Featuring a 6.2L LSA engine based on the LS9 V8 used in the Corvette C6 ZR1, the 2009-2013 CTS-V packs a potent punch as-is. But the potent pushrod-style V8 is also very enticing for performance enthusiasts who want to do a little tinkering. That’s why aftermarket parts manufacturers have been quick to offer upgrades like cold air induction systems, headers, exhaust systems, pulley kits, springs and suspension components, brake parts, and much more.

And that’s why the speed-obsessed, DIY-minded voters in our Fantasy Draft picked the Cadillac CTS-V.

Plus, it’s a Cadillac. Can you really argue with that?
