How you would like to be the original owner of a 1964 Chevrolet Impala, two-door hard top with a V8 and a manual transmission? Thanks to Ray Lambrecht and his family you still have an opportunity to own automotive history.

From 1946 to 1996, Ray owned and ran Lambrecht Chevrolet in Pierce, NE, a small mom-and-pop dealership which quickly grew to one of the most well known in the region. The reason was because “It will Pay to See Ray” and Ray always strove to sell families new safe and reliable cars over used ones.

So what happened to those used cars Ray took on trade or the previous year’s model he just couldn’t sell? Well Ray held on to those cars and has amassed almost 500 of them.

There are a few Fords, Dodges, and even a Studebaker Champion, but the bulk of the cars are Chevys. Like a 1964 Chevy C10 Pickup in light blue with eight miles on it.

Trucks not your thing? How about a 1965 Chevrolet Bel Air Station Wagon with a 327 and a Powerglide transmission and an odometer reading of five miles?

Many of these cars still have the little touches that even new cars today don’t have such as the original plastic covering the seats.

Don’t miss your opportunity to own a piece of Chevrolet history, the VanDerBrink Auctioneers have planned the auction to sell Ray’s collection Sept. 28-29, 2013. In the meantime, take a little more time to learn about Ray from his son’s perspective.
