Remember your old pedal car from back in the day?

If you were fortunate enough to have one, chances are pretty good it wasn’t as bitchin’ as any of the pedal cars found at Genuine Hotrod Hardware’s Pedal Car Challenge.

The Genuine Hotrod Hardware Pedal Car Challenge takes place at select AutoRama, World of Wheels, and Cavalcade of Customs shows, which are part of the Summit Racing Show Car Series indoor car show circuit. Pedal cars were donated by Genuine Hotrod Hardware, a direct-mail and Internet supplier of hot rod collectibles, tools, and lifestyle items, and customized by area high school and trade school students who live in proximity to each show. The finished cars are judged for creativity, craftsmanship, overall appearance, and attention to detail and awards are presented for the first-, second-, and third-place entries.

The Pedal Car Challenge will be featured at shows in Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, Chicago, Kansas City, and Detroit. It also took place at the Cavalcade of Customs show in Cincinnati, OH—check out the photos in the slideshow above!
