That can be bad news for a vehicle. Whether you’re fording a river or splashing through puddles on your commute, it’s important to ensure water doesn’t get where it isn’t supposed to.

The off-road gurus at ARB know a thing or two about plowing through streams and mudholes, and they created this four-minute video to show you how to inspect your ride after a significant aquatic encounter. It covers the inspection of a few key vehicle components, including your air intake, U-joints, axles, and wheel bearings.

Even if you’re not a hardcore off-roader, the video demonstrates some basic vehicle maintenance that will ensure your ride stays clean and dry.
