Modern bumpers are packed with sensors, lights, and extra electronics. That means swapping a truck’s stock bumper for an aftermarket one isn’t always a basic bolt-on job.

In this video, the folks at Westin walk through the process of installing its HDX Rear Bumper on a 2017 Ram 3500. Westin’s HDX Bumper re-uses the factory backup sensors, but includes new backup and license plate lighting that installs into the truck’s factory connectors.This gives you all of the factory functionality with a more rugged rear bumper.
